Salem Baptist Church SteelPan

The Salem Baptist Church Steelpan Ensemble is a cherished group within the church, bringing the vibrant sounds of steelpan music to the community. Since its inception in 2008 by the late Garnet D'Abreu, the ensemble has thrived under the leadership of Sister Barbara Rose and its ten dedicated panists, all members of Salem Baptist Church.

Performing a diverse repertoire of traditional hymns, contemporary Christian music, and classical pieces, the ensemble blends spiritual melodies and rhythms. Despite challenges, they remain resilient, captivating audiences and embodying the church's commitment to cultural heritage and artistic expression.
